Cassandra

City burning, an enemy conquers

Despite of all the bravery

The prophetess dragged from the Temple

Raped and brought to slavery

Again a world burns, towers falling

Friends disappear without a trace

But now at peace with the enemies

In modern Troy she finds a place

To revenge sacrilege, come Locrian slaves

Hiding from a threatening mob

Finding their way through darkened alleys

In your arms they cry and sob

An age old tragedy is being repeated

As are the dramas of recent years

This time there is a happy ending

Finding protection from your fears

Mother of the unforgiven

Protector of slaves old and new

I am proud to stand beside you

From darkest night till morning dew...

Frodo
